Security Services Department

The Flagstaff Medical Center Security Department includes Security officers and switchboard operators.

Security officers are responsible for providing a safe and secure environment and minimizing the opportunity for the loss of personal and institutional property.

Security officers are hired based upon education, experience and their willingness and ability to provide friendly customer service. Officers are involved in a continuous training program that addresses all relevant aspects of policing as well as all aspects of FMC's policies and procedures. In addition, all officers are certified through the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety.

The Security Department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We encourage you to call the Security Department to report any suspicious and/or unusual activity. A switchboard operator will dispatch a security officer to respond to the problem immediately. You also may find a hospital employee and ask them to call Security.
